"Do You Believe That One Person Can Change The World?"
Tina Wheeler is a visionary who has spent the better part of her personal life and professional career with the personal mission to encourage people to become better versions of themselves and create the life that they desire. Working with the spirits of compassion and generosity, Tina has long wanted to see people grow personally, financially and spiritually by providing a solid foundation of support and understanding. As a self-proclaimed dreamer, through coaching and mentoring people who share the same core purpose, Tina strives to show others how they can take their greatest desires from idea to reality. Through personal trial and error, Tina has developed an intimate understanding that goals are more than just one-dimensional pipe dreams and require in-depth analysis and assistance to arrive at a specified destination point.
Tina Wheeler founded The Accion Group in 2010 formerly the Elite Business Management. Affectionately called TAG, the firm assists up and coming philanthropists with a plethora of services such as grants management, fund acquisition, capacity building and training, marketing, both digital and physical, fund development and overall consulting.
Over the years, Tina established her brainchild, teamed up with other dedicated individuals and began making history for TAG. While consulting and servicing a vast array of corporate entities, restructuring established yet struggling non-profits, faith-based organizations, private and professional foundations, hospitals, governmental agencies and even entertainers and athletes through the United States as well as the international stage; Tina and the team at TAG have collectively yielded an excess of $300M in grant funding, corporate sponsorships, endorsements and donations. All of these goals have been met with Tina’s diligent effort in providing services through TAG that address the organization on multi-levels while establishing a non-profit organization.
Executive and business coaching is Tina’s passion and providing on-site visits, training and operational assessments is her forte. Tina has a unique knack for honing in on an organization's needs while providing exceptional business strategies that are executed with a firm personal touch. She believes that ideas for the development of the world’s greater good are just that, ideas. And though Tina knows that the origin of any great idea is essential to growth, her personal philosophy of putting ideas into action is what she holds as a strong conviction.
Some of TAG's greatest endeavors are so close to Tina’s heart because they were seen from inception to completion. She has worked to secure sponsorship and develop brand building for several institutions and individuals. Some of these include: grant procurement for Christian Faith Center’s Family First of Granville-Vance County infant mortality program that has been operating for the last 20 years, the development of sponsorship around the good works of the Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship International Church and for Pastor Debra Morton’s House of Promise Homes; serving as the Major Gift Officer where she co-produced and secured sponsorship for D12 Strikes Bowling Tournament, D12 Foundation Celebrity Weekend and subsequently raising funding to build 5 dormitories in Tanzania for Dwight Howard’s D12 Foundations; working side by side with NBA Cares and the NBA Players Association for All Star Weekend, partnering along the Orlando Magic as well as managing and producing events with the NFL and athletes like New York Giants star, Rashad Jennings and his foundation; managing and operating entertainer Brian McKnight’s 360 Foundation; assisting in non-profit organization growth for professional golfer Scott Yancy III; getting on board with cinema all-star Elvin Ross’ Kuntah Kinteh Project; serving as President for the Force of Hope CDC via the Florida Hospital Foundation to enact their Healthy 100 Kids Program; and working side by side with the Atlanta Police Foundation, the Daughters of Promise, Armani International, Christian Dior and many more.
Tina’s ambition has earned her recognition and several honors in her industry. She rung the NASDAQ closing bell on Wall Street in 2014 and was honored by The White House. She has also been a key speaker for the Odyssey Retreat Project, which eradicates world hunger, and has sat on the board of various organizations including: The Orange County Boys & Girls Club, City Year, the Wells Fargo Advisors Circle of Influence and the Wells Fargo Small Business Board and the Citibank Small Business Advisory Board amongst many others. She was also featured in Ambitious Mommy magazine’s ‘Proverbs 31 Women Redefined’ article in their August 2014 online issue.
Tina also makes a concerted effort to support programs like Seniors’ Obesity Prevention and Education, boys and girls after school mentoring, youth entrepreneurial work and family restoration services. She has worked to develop TAG’s total involvement in services such as Ralph Lauren’s clothing drives in Central Florida and the KAD Foundation also known as Kids Are Destined Foundation, 10th Annual Signature Thanksgiving and Christmas Campaign where clothing, food and shoes were given to 1,500 homeless children; as well as TAG’s very own signature program, 11th Annual Signature Educate2Dominate, a back to school campaign where 10,000 backpacks with school supplies, 2,000 pairs of eyeglasses, 2,000 articles of new clothes and shoes; and snacks were donated alongside provisions for dental, medical and health screenings for underprivileged youth in 15 counties in Central Florida.
When not leading the charge for The Accion Group, Tina devotes her time to public speaking engagements as well as authoring books and conducting weekly bible study classes online for medical professionals, bankers and business owners of every variety. Her desire to offer guidance is also expressed through mentorship provision for pastors, bishops and other individuals who reach out to her for help.
You would think that a woman with such success and power would be comfortable with just the success of her corporation yet her ambition coupled with purpose has directed her to develop The Epitome Collection with signature t-shirt line, "BeYoutiful" that empowers women to be confident in their skin.
All of these experiences lead to a fulfilling life because it allows Tina to think outside of the box and extend herself to complete her life’s work, empowering others to lead their very best life!
Tina received her Bachelors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Nonprofit Management Certification from Duke University as well as her Fundraising and Development Certification studies from Rollins College.
